Tourist Visa Checklist
1. Visa Application Form and Photograph
Visa Application Form (Form 14A):
- Fully completed and signed.
Photograph:
- Recent passport-sized color photo (35mm x 45mm).
- White background, clear, and no headwear (unless for religious purposes).
- Photo should be less than 3 months old.
2. Passport
Original Passport:
- Valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of departure from Singapore.
- Must have at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
Photocopy of Passport:
- Copy of the bio-data page and any past travel visas (if applicable).
3. Cover Letter
- Purpose of Visit:
- A cover letter addressed to the Singapore High Commission or Embassy explaining the purpose of your trip, intended duration, and travel plans.
- Include your contact information.
4. Flight and Accommodation Proof
Flight Tickets:
- Confirmed round-trip flight tickets to and from Singapore.
- Note: It’s advisable to show flight reservations rather than purchasing tickets before visa approval.
Hotel Bookings:
- Confirmed accommodation reservations covering the entire duration of your stay.
- If staying with a host, include:
- Invitation letter from the host.
- Copy of the host’s ID/passport or residency proof.
5. Financial Proof
- Bank Statements:
- Latest 3–6 months of stamped bank statements showing sufficient funds to cover your expenses.
- Proof of Income:
- Recent salary slips or Income Tax Returns (ITR).
- For self-employed: Business registration certificate and financial documents.
6. Travel Itinerary
- Detailed Travel Plan:
- A daily itinerary of your visit, including sightseeing, activities, and planned destinations in Singapore.
7. Proof of Employment/Studies
- For Employed Applicants:
- Certificate of Employment or Leave Approval Letter from your employer, specifying your position, salary, and the duration of leave.
- For Students:
- School/University ID and a leave letter from the institution.
- For Self-Employed Individuals:
- Business registration certificate and proof of business activity (e.g., invoices, contracts).
8. Additional Supporting Documents
Civil Status Proof:
- Marriage certificate, birth certificate, or other relevant documents if traveling with family.
Travel Insurance:
- While not mandatory, having travel insurance is highly recommended to cover unexpected expenses, including medical emergencies.
9. For Minors
- Additional Documents:
- Birth certificate and a notarized parental consent letter (if the child is traveling without both parents).
- Copies of parents’ passports.
