Refund & Cancellation

Terms for Flight Booking, Cancellation-Reissuance, and Refunds

Master Airfare acts solely as an intermediary between the User and the airlines. Consequently, all terms, conditions, and policies of the respective airlines are applicable to the User.

Flight Operations and Alterations
Airlines reserve the right to modify flight schedules, cancel flights, or adjust itineraries without notifying Master Airfare in advance. As an intermediary, Master Airfare has no authority or influence over the operational decisions of airlines and, therefore, holds no responsibility for any direct or indirect inconvenience, injury, or loss suffered by the User due to such changes.

Fare Conditions and Amenities
Airfares vary depending on factors such as restrictions, amenities, and pricing. The User must review and understand these differences before booking.

Baggage Allowance
Baggage allowances are determined exclusively by the airlines. Some tickets may be classified as “hand baggage fares,” which exclude complimentary check-in luggage. Additional fees for checked luggage depend on the airline, and the User is encouraged to confirm specific costs directly with the airline.

Code-Share Flights
Airlines may enter into code-sharing agreements, wherein a flight operated by one airline is marketed under another airline’s designator code. Users will be informed if their flight is a code-share as soon as the airline communicates this information to Master Airfare.

Fees and Pricing
Master Airfare reserves the right to impose listing fees for certain services and transaction fees for specific bookings. These fees may be updated or modified at any time without prior notice.

The total amount payable at checkout includes the base fare, applicable government taxes, and a convenience charge. Users are required to pay the full amount to complete their booking. Failure to make the payment in full may result in cancellation. On the date of travel, Users must bear any additional statutory taxes, surcharges, or fees imposed by the airline.

Infant and Child Tickets
Infants (under 24 months) are eligible for infant fares only if they remain under 24 months for the entire journey, including return. If the child turns 24 months before the return flight, the User must book a separate ticket under child fare. Airline rules require that all infants and children travel with an adult.

Documentation Requirements
Users must ensure that they possess all necessary travel documents required by the airlines. If a User books on behalf of another passenger, the User must verify that the traveler has the required documentation. Master Airfare will not be held responsible for any inability to travel due to incomplete or invalid documentation.

Airport Check-In
Users are responsible for adhering to the check-in times specified by the airline. It is the User’s duty to confirm the appropriate timings with the airline prior to travel.

Reservation Changes
For changes to an existing booking, Users must follow the airline’s policies. Any additional charges resulting from modifications are the responsibility of the User and must be paid accordingly.

Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds are subject to the airline’s cancellation policies and fare conditions. Refunds are contingent upon Master Airfare receiving the applicable amount from the airline. Convenience charges collected at the time of booking are non-refundable.

If a cancellation is made directly with the airline, Users must notify Master Airfare to initiate the refund process. Refund timelines depend on factors such as payment mode and bank processing times. Refunds will only be processed after deducting service fees charged by Master Airfare in addition to any airline penalties.

Amendment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

  • All bookings are governed by the respective airline’s terms and conditions.
  • Refund requests for no-show or partially utilized tickets must be submitted within 30 days of the travel date.
  • Processing refunds for no-show or partially used tickets may take up to 90 days, depending on the airline’s terms.
  • Users should review airline-specific policies before completing their booking.
  • Convenience fees charged by Master Airfare are non-refundable.
  • Most airlines prohibit partial cancellations for round-trip or group fares.
  • Infants under seven days old are generally not permitted to travel; Users should contact the airline directly for clarification.

Rescheduling and Reissuance Fees

  • Master Airfare applies a handling fee of ₹500 per passenger per sector for cancellations or rescheduling, in addition to airline-imposed charges.
  • A no-show fee of ₹500 per passenger per sector is applicable for domestic flights.
  • Some fares may not allow amendments or rescheduling due to airline policies.
  • Bookings can be rescheduled directly with the airline’s customer support or through Master Airfare.

Refund and Rescheduling Conditions

  • Reissuance fees vary based on the flight and fare type.
  • If reissuing a ticket, fare differences and penalties will apply. If the new fare is lower, the fare difference will not be refunded, though rebooking fees will still be charged.
  • Refunds for canceled bookings will be initiated within 15–20 working days after receiving the corresponding amount from the airline or vendor.
  • Refunds will be processed in the same payment mode used during booking.
